Antwerp, Ohio woman, Bethany Reinhart, has died following a crash on I-75 and U.S. 33 in Auglaize County Saturday afternoon, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol release.
Reinhart, 24, aka, Beth Reinhart, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to Wapakoneta post deputies.
Reinhart reportedly failed to stop at the bottom of an I-75 exit ramp before turning westbound onto U.S. 33 and into the path of an eastbound semi.
Friends of the family took to Facebook to express their condolences:
Rosanah Ziegler Foster Facebook: “My heart is heavy and sad tonight. The daughter of one of my dear friends died yesterday in a car accident. I cannot imagine the pain that she is going through. When I first met Rose Reinhart at Antwerp schools she was a beacon of hope and she helped me teach my students that had learning disabilities. During that time I learned that Rose was so strong in her faith in Jesus Christ. I learned during that time that Rose and her husband were ready to teach their children about their faith in Jesus Christ. Rose has told me yesterday that God’s plans are not our plans. Please be in prayer for this wonderful wonderful family that I love so much.”
A message from the Director of Paulding County Carnegie Library, Susan Pieper, via Facebook: “I am sick with heartache and grief. We just lost a beautiful young woman, Bethany Reinhart. Bethany interviewed last week for the position of Oakwood Branch Manager. She was young, vibrant, and beautiful and had just graduated from college. She inspired me with her vision for our tweens and young adults. She inspired me so much that I was bringing to the library Board of Trustees a position of Young Adult Specialist who would address the need of serving these young people system-wide. Bethany shared her angst about the struggles teens go through today. She shared that the literature was addressing the issues our young people face – issues my generation cannot imagine. She had inspired me to think of possibilities for our county. The possibility that this bright young woman could connect and engage teenagers at the schools, through events, through programming. I had envisioned that this beautiful and vibrant young woman would select all our teen material system-wide. She would build a place at our libraries that are lacking… a place where teens can not only come to, but a place where they would find someone who understood them. I know we should never plan a job around a person, but this special young woman was what our library system needed. I will forever hold our standards of service at Bethany’s level. I am so heartbroken for her family, her boyfriend, her friends and what a wonderful life that could have been.”
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends at this difficult time.
