St. Martin Parish deputies say that 31 year-old Jarod M. Boudreaux of New Iberia was traveling westbound on Petroleum Parkway at a high rate of speed when his motorcycle traveled across the center line and exited the left side of the roadway. Deputies say Boudreaux continued traveling beyond the shoulder where he lost control of his motorcycle and it became airborne. Boudreaux was ejected from the motorcycle. Deputies say Boudreaux was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash but succumbed to injuries he received. He was pronounced dead at the scene. source
