Skylar Brooke Richardson is the Carlisle, Ohio, teenager arrested and charged after a suspected stillborn baby was found in the backyard of a home last week.
Richardson, 18, who is also known as, “Brooke S. Richardson,” was charged with one count of reckless homicide.

She is currently being held in the Warren County Jail until her arraignment in the Franklin Municipal Court. Authorities have returned to the scene on Thursday to collect further samples to examine. Warren County Detective Lieutenant Jon Faine said the remains that were recovered from behind the home on Eagle Ridge Drive appeared to have been there 10 to 12 weeks. source
According to initial reports, investigators believed the remains were that of a stillborn baby.
“We have learned more and that’s why we’re back out here, but we still have not learned everything we need to know. We’re still of course trying to determine if it’s a live birth or stillborn,” Chief Investigator of the Warren County Coroner’s Office Doyle Burke said.
The remains were taken to the Miami Valley Regional Crime Laboratory for analysis.
The incident remains under investigation.
