A crash Sunday night in Wyoming, Ohio, took the life of a popular man of the cloth, Father Chris Coleman.
Coleman had been Pastor of the Winton Wyoming Pastoral Region since July 1, 2014.
Fr. Kyle Schnippel: With a heavy heart, word has emerged of the death of Fr. Chris Coleman, pastor of the Winton Woods/Wyoming Pastoral Region (the pastoral region just to the east of my two parishes) due to an auto accident. He is two years my junior as a priest, so we knew each other fairly well. A good priest with a quick laugh and smile, he enjoyed life and had many many friends. Please pray for the repose of his soul, for his parishioners and family as they mourn the loss of their pastor, son, brother, uncle and friend. Arrangements are still pending.
Coleman was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a 51-year-old Milford man, when the crash happened around 5:20 p.m. on Mt. Pleasant Avenue. The driver has not yet been identified. The vehicle struck a guardrail and overturned. The Dayton pastor was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. source
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family, practitioners and friends at this difficult time.
