Tulsa woman, Kateesha Christine Childers, who was taken into custody over the shooting death of her husband in east Tulsa Saturday night, was also arrested in 2012 for domestic assault and battery.
According to Tulsa police, Childers, 38, was arrested on a first-degree murder complaint for shooting her husband 48-year-old Gregory Thomas.
Thomas was shot in the torso in the driveway of the next door neighbor’s house near East 39th Street and South 129th East Ave. He was transported to a hospital where he later died. Tulsa Police Stg. Dave Walker said Thomas and Childers had a tumultuous relationship and on Saturday night their fight escalated which resulted in his death. Walker said Childers left the scene in her vehicle and when she arrived back on scene, she said she had no knowledge about her husband being shot but investigators learned from witnesses that she was indeed the shooter. h/t ktul
Police are working to get a warrant to search her car and they said no weapon has been found yet.
