According to reports, the Cessna 310 preparing to land at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, CA., Friday morning was forced to land on the busy 405 freeway.
The plane crash landed on the southbound lanes of the iconic Socal freeway going the same direction as the Friday traffic. The impact caused the small craft to burst into flames.

The pilot had taken off moments before but was returning to the airport after calling in an emergency.
