PICTURED: WA Bass Player Dave McClave DIES In Motorcycle Accident

Well-known Spokane Valley musician, Dave McClave, has died after crashing his motorcycle Tuesday night at I-90 and Highway 2. He was 49.

According to Washington State Patrol, McClave, born, David Keith McClave, was traveling westbound on I-90 and while trying to take the Highway 2 exit in lane two, he struck the guardrail and was ejected. McClave was wearing a helmet. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Beside being a producer and bassist, McClave was an actor and writer, known for Logos: Change the Inevitable, Jack & Jill and Y2K: Year to Kill.

Dave leaves behind his wife, Heidi McClave, and three children.

The crash happened just before 10pm. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Dave’s bio lists the following information about the fallen musician:

“Dave is a published author, artist and musician, has done session work for many bands, has produced recordings for nearly a hundred artists, has composed a film score on a feature-length film, produces documentary films and is starting his first fiction film this year. Though music is his first love, he’s figured out creative ways to incorporate many passions into his career as a media producer.

He plays bass, sings back-ups and mixes sound for Kozmik DreamZz, and runs a media production facility in Spokane, WA, called Case42 Creative Media.”
