Three people are confirmed dead and two more injured following a shooting in a Sandy, Utah, neighborhood Tuesday afternoon, according to Sandy City Police.
A neighboring elementary school is on lockdown over the proximity of the fatal shooting.

The lockdown at Brookwood Elementary, which is located at 8640 Snowbird Drive 2065 East, is a precaution because of a shooting that happened in a residential neighborhood near the school. At 4:25 p.m. Canyons School District confirmed the elementary school is on a lockdown while police investigate “an incident” happening away from campus. h/t KUTV
