34-year-old Jonathan Travis Scott was apprehended after allegedly breaking into a Carlsbad, CA., home early Thursday while it was tented for termite extermination.
Cameras inside the residence caught Scott rummaging through the residence while wearing a white protective suit and a respirator. On the video, he can be seen rifling through drawers while inside the premises.
Officers took Scott into custody at about 10:30 a.m. during a traffic stop in the 600 block of Rancho Santa Fe Road in San Marcos. The resident reported that the intruder may have been in his home for about 40 minutes, according to Carlsbad police.
It was not immediately clear what, if anything, had been stolen, since the resident had smartly removed his valuables from the home before it was tented.
Police did not disclose what led them to identify Scott as the suspect in the burglary.
Scott remains in the local jail booked on suspicion of burglary.
