A home invader is dead after his elderly victims opened fire on him, say the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities are currently investigating the deadly shooting incident that happened around 5:00pm Sunday along Highway 594 in Swartz, La.

Deputies say a man entered a home in the area and threatened to harm 2 elderly people who lived there. One of the homeowners fatally shot the suspect. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. h/t myarklamiss
