The SUV reportedly used in former NFL star Aaron Hernandez‘s 2012 double-murder went up for auction on eBay this week.
eBay or the person listing the vehicle, removed the auction for the 2006 Toyota 4Runner located in Rhode Island, but not before it had reached over $100,000.

The owner of the 4Runner is a Rhode Island car dealer, who leased it to Hernandez as part of a promotional agreement, according to ESPN. The vehicle was referred to as the “murder car” during Hernandez’s trial. The now-dead NFL star was accused of shooting deaths of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado, via a drive-by shooting from the SUV’s passenger seat after an altercation at a Boston nightclub hours earlier. h/t ballerstatus
Hernandez was ultimately acquitted of the crime in April 14. However, he was already serving a life sentence for killing a man who was dating his fiancee’s sister in 2013.
He committed suicide in his cell days after the acquittal.
