Silence is golden, a phase George Michael‘s boyfriend, Fadi Fawaz, might want to take to heart. Fawaz took to social media over the holiday weekend to reveal several startling details about, among a laundry list of other drama, his whereabouts the night before Michael was found dead, by him, in his Goring-on-Thames bedroom.

Fawaz, 43, who later said his Twitter account had been hacked, revealed on social media that he “slept in his car” the night before he found the singer dead at his home on Christmas Day after going there to “wake him up.” Fawaz, who is believed to be in line to inherit millions from the singer’s estate, also claimed Michael “wanted to die” and had previously tried to “take his own life.”

Fawaz has now revealed that he fell asleep in his car and did not see the Careless Whisper singer the evening before he died alone in his bedroom. Fawaz also said a hacker was responsible for a series of tweets that claimed Michael wanted to die and had previously tried to take his own life. Speaking about the evening before Michael was found, he told Tom Bryant at the Daily Mirror: ‘I never saw him. I fell asleep in my car and I never saw him that night, the police know everything – that’s the most important thing.’ h/t dailymail

Fawaz denied writing the tweets, saying the account had been hacked and has since been deleted.

Fawaz later told Mirror Online: ‘I am shocked with what’s going on with the Twitter thing. My Twitter account has been hacked and closed.

‘It’s a bit scary to be honest. I did not send those tweets. I woke up at 11.30am to the news. I am not going to worry about these things.’

Some folks on social media who read the tweets before they were deleted speculated as to why Fawaz “didn’t seek lodging in a nearby hotel” and if he knew “Michael was suicidal,” he didn’t make an effort to “get him help” or in the very least “contact authorities.”
