The earthquakes have caused untold amounts of damage, but on Saturday, residents of the city of Fukuoka discovered an especially strange result: a mysterious foam blanketing the streets. Twitter users began posting photos of the unexplained foam shortly after the tremors receded. Some have speculated that an underground pipe had burst, although the origin is still unclear.
