Bindi Irwin Joins Cast Of DWTS Season 21

Bindi Irwin had been is following in the footsteps of her famous late father, Steve Irwin, but now the environmentalist is taking on a completely different set of footsteps. Cutting a rug on the dance floor.

Bindi’s next media move has a groove! ABC announced that the 17-year-old has joined the 21st season cast of Dancing with the Stars.

“I am unbelievably thrilled and truly blessed to be in the City of Angels to be part of this season of Dancing With The Stars,” Bindi said in a statement on the show’s Facebook page. “This will be a completely new adventure for me and I’m excited to share my journey. Life is about daring to dream, I’m in love with this city and ready to fall in love with the music and dance to come.” h/t hellogiggles

Bindi usually spends her time conquering the great outdoors, but she admits, “This is completely different to anything I have ever done in my life,” Bindi told Good Morning America. “I am used to wrangling crocodiles.”
