WH Petition To EXTRADITE Dentist Who Killed Cecil The Lion

There’s a rapidly growing petition on the White House’s website calling for the extradition of Dr. Walter James Palmer DDS to face charges in Zimbabwe. Palmer is charged with killing the country’s beloved and iconic lion, Cecil.

Palmer shot Cecil with a crossbow, and continued hunting him for 40 hours until he located him, finishing the job with a shotgun.

“I hired several professional guides, and they secured all proper permits,” said Palmer in a statement. “To my knowledge, everything about this trip was legal and properly handled and conducted.

“I had no idea that the lion I took was a known, local favorite, was collared and part of a study until the end of the hunt. I relied on the expertise of my local professional guides to ensure a legal hunt.”
