No matter what your stance on the whole Confederate Flag controversy, let’s agree, it’s never a good idea to break the law in order to prove your point. A Confederate monument at a Cemetery in Reidsville, NC., was vandalized with red and black graffiti Friday afternoon.
The writing on the monument reads:
“Preserve this historic graffiti (It’s our heritage). The cause for which they fought, the cause of slavery was wrong. Black Lives Matter.”
However misguided, the graffiti depicts a fairly literate proclamation.
Because the monument is part of grave markers, this act is considered a felony.
