Jan Hooks, who played the role of Carlene Dobber for the final two seasons of Designing Women, has died.
Hooks was 57.
A long running cast member on SNL, Hooks also appeared on The Martin Short Show, 30 Rock, and memorable role in Pee-wee’s Big Adventure as a know-it-all tour guide at the Alamo, as well as many more TV shows and movies.
She was living in New York City at the time of her death.
A rep said only that Hooks “had been battling a serious illness,” and released no further details.
