The Harvard University Police Department says an unidentified armed man called and claimed to be on campus.
The suspect stated he had placed bombs at several buildings, and one suspicious package was located on Prescott Street and the Explosives Ordinance Unit is now on scene to investigate.
The buildings named in the call, including the Science Center, were immediately evacuated. The Cambridge Police Department and Cambridge Fire Department were also notified of the situation, and an investigation is currently underway. source
The suspicious package was removed from the area by emergency officials a short time later.
