Cuba Gooding, Jr. must have been channeling Kanye West when he rushed the stage, (think Taylor Swift,) at the Screen Actors Guild Awards show Sunday.
But instead of telling Swift she was undeserving of an award, Cuba or GUBA, as Fox calls him, merely wanted to remind the nation of Monday’s holiday.
“Happy MLK!” Gooding, Jr. yelled, grabbing the mic from the night’s surprised emcee, Ben Affleck. “Happy MLK Weekend!”
And with that, the credits rolled.
Gooding, Jr. was on hand to support “Lee Daniels’ The Butler,” which was nominated for three SAG awards.
He won his own SAG in 1996 for “Jerry Maguire.”
