Karl Lagerfeld’s CAT Has IPAD AND TWO MAIDS

Karl Lagerfeld received a new Siamese kitten named Choupette back in January via model Baptiste Giabiconi, and since then the designer has gone cat-crazy!

Choupette the cat even eats her meals at the same table as Karl and after dinner she plays with her iPad. If the feline should want for anything, she simply need summons one of her two maids..

“She has lunch and dinner with me on the table, with her own food. She doesn’t touch my food. She doesn’t want to eat on the floor. She sleeps under a pillow and she even knows how to use an iPad. She has two personal maids, for both night and day. She is beyond spoiled.”

Lagerfeld requires Choupette’s handlers to keep a diary of her moods, movements and eating behaviour, when he’s not around. “In the nine months, we already have almost 600 pages… I think it could be funny to make a little book of Choupette’s diary.”

So the big question looms, what does Lagerfeld dress Choupette in? Cat-hanel? You won’t see this feline in Chanel duds any time soon because Karl thinks the act of humanising pets is “circuslike”. So he draws the line at clothing.. Go figure..
