Cleveland, OK., students returning from a state playoff football game narrowly escaped disaster after their school bus was struck by an alleged drunk driver, leaving them teetering on the Cedar Creek bridge! Can you imagine?
The drunk hit the bus on the front driver’s side forcing it towards on-coming traffic, but in a harrowing head-on prevent move, the driver high-centered the bridge guard rail, crashing through the barrier and somehow avoiding a steep plunge into the Arkansas River bed.
Band Director Donna Casey was on board the bus with assistant band director Nic Johnson at the wheel. “He did an incredible job of driving,” she said Saturday morning. “It could have been so much worse.”
Finally a story with a happy ending! You can read more about these fortunate kids below!

However you look at it, still a bad story but at least it did have a good ending. It doesn't matter where you look in the news you will always find stories about drunk/drugged drivers in traffic accidents. I am in San Diego and it's in the news here almost daily but I also like to browse local news all over the country and it is a universal problem, usually someone dies though. The School bus driver Excellent reflexes obviously saved the day here.
