Second NFL Coach Taken To Hospital Over Dizziness

A second NFL coach in as many days has been carted off the field and to the hospital over dizziness..

Gary Kubiak is the second NFL coach in two days to deal with health issues. Denver’s John Fox became lightheaded Saturday while playing golf. He’ll undergo surgery to replace a heart valve, missing several weeks of action. Ohio State coach Urban Meyer initially cited health concerns after stepping down at the University of Florida.

Kubiak became the second head coach in Texans history in 2006, taking over for Dom Capers. Kubiak, who played college ball at Texas A&M, entered Sunday 62-58 with the Texans. He’s coached the team to back-to-back playoff appearances, including AFC wild-card wins in two consecutive seasons.

The Texans have rivaled the Atlanta Falcons as the NFL’s largest disappointment this season. After barely winning their initial two games, the Texans now have lost six consecutive contests. The skid is the longest of Kubiak’s coaching career and saw former starting quarterback Matt Schaub give way to second-year player Case Keenum, a former University of Houston standout who went undrafted in 2012.
