The Vatican has withdrawn at least 6,000 commemorative bronze, silver and gold medallions, commissioned to celebrate Pope Francis’ first year over the misspelling of the word Jesus.

The Italian State Mint was responsible for the contract which features the Pope’s official motto printed along the side, but there was just one little problem, Jesus is referred to as “Lesus.”
The Latin phrase translated into English means: “Jesus, therefore, saw the publican, and because he saw by having mercy and by choosing, He said to him, ‘Follow me.'”
