REPORT: Piers Morgan OUT AT CNN

Reports say Piers Morgan is on the way out of his coveted CNN prime time show. It is not clear whether or not the move signals severed ties with CNN or simply a time-slot reshuffle.

Sources are reporting that Jeff Zucker is “actively looking for a replacement for Piers Morgan.” The Washington Times says CNN signed Morgan to a one-year contract extension, and that’s about to expire..

Replacement rumors install Katie Couric as the new queen of prime time, but Zucker is keeping an open mind about other replacement hosts, too, sources indicated.

“He’s looking at other people besides Katie,” one said.

Morgan might move time-slots — but will no longer grace prime time, at least not appearing on CNN, the story said.
