Man Arrested For Passing REAL $50 Bill After Black Light FAIL

Man Arrested Real $50 Bill black light. A Tennessee man was arrested and thrown behind bars after he tried to pay for his goods with a counterfeit $50 bill, there’s just one little problem, his fifty was REAL!

Turns out Lorenzo Gaspar was trying to pay for his items at a convenience store when cop were called about a man trying to pass a counterfeit $50 bill, police arrived and arrested the dude, but they were mistaken!

The fifty turned out to simply be an older note which can appear fake to black light bill testers.. But police did not confirm this until the man had already been arrested and put in jail.

“DURRRRRR” comes to mind..

In an attempt to save a little face, officer Brock Horner of the Shelbyville police department had this to say of the debacle,

“The front side of the bill was off center and it didn’t feel like a normal bill, it did look to be counterfeit.”

Great that explains everything! Including why Mr. Gaspar’s backside is swollen and hurting after his stay in the slammer!

  • Is Mr. Gaspar Black or Hispanic? Then, he was already under suspicion. The $50.00 bill was just the means in which that suspicion was acted on.

  • This $50 bill harkens back to the days when it was worth someting, could buy a decent used car, a shopping cart overflowing with food, 200 gallons of gas, a month's rent or anything else that makes the value of today's money laughable. Even though the pay and wage scales were much lower back then, money was still worth something, unlike today. Our nation nowadays is NOT the one I grew up in when ethics still reigned supreme. Events like this good man being arrested and jailed for paying with real US currency serves as further testament to the sorry, sad and deplorable condition of our once-great nation with government running amok, violation of our constitutional rights and disregard for the rule of law. Cases like this are worth pursuing because they are NOT the garden-variety silly or petty matters that tend to reap rediculously huge awards by judges and juries while fattening the wallets of trial lawyers. This is a SERIOUS matter, which is completely inexcusable and unforgiveable that needs to be addressed PRONTO! This kind of behavior on the part of law enforcement needs to be nipped in the bud NOW, or it will only continue to get worse! A good attorney should take this case on a contigency basis and seek the largest reward possible. Anybody who lets this matter slide is a damned fool because arrest records DON'T go away even if charges are dismissed or you're acquitted in a court of law.

  • Well guess they can expect to make a large settlement or suit in court, having someone arrested for counterfeit when the 50.00 bill is real.
