The famous voice of another beloved childhood character has had a run in with the law. Peter Robbins, the voice of Charlie Brown, was arrested after trying to reenter the united states from Mexico.
Peter Robbins was charged with four felony counts of making a threat to cause death or great bodily injury and one felony count of stalking. He is set to be arraigned in a San Diego court today.
A spokeswoman for the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department told U-T San Diego she was unable to provide additional details, but Robbins’ manager told the paper a comment was forthcoming.
According to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection representative, all five felony charges are for crimes against a single person. source
At the tender age of nine, Robbins was hired as the voice of the lead character in the animated adaptation of Charles Schultz’s Peanuts comic strip.
