Kevin Clash, the voice of Elmo, has just announced he’s quitting, that’s right, he’s finally resigning. The news comes shortly after settlement details were revealed Clash’s underage sex scandal. Turns out, Clash’s accuser was paid $125K in hush money, but all that money couldn’t keep this kid quiet because he still recanted the statement, saying it was signed under duress.
Well now a second young man is coming out, saying that Clash had sex with him when he was 15, so if you’re keeping score, that’s 2 young men Elmo had sex with when they were underage…
Kevin Clash, the voice of Elmo, has resigned from Sesame Street … in the immediate wake of a new lawsuit accusing him of having sex with an underage boy — the second such accusation in 2 weeks.
TMZ broke the story … Clash is being sued by Cecil Singleton, who claims he met Kevin in a gay phone chat back in ’93 … when he was 15 and Clash was 32.
Sesame Workshop says, “Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding Kevin’s personal life has become a distraction that none of us want, and he has concluded that he can no longer be effective in his job and has resigned from Sesame Street. This is a sad day for Sesame Street.”
Sesame Workshop had previously told TMZ, “Elmo is bigger than any one person.” That was in response to the initial underage sex accusation from Sheldon Stephens.
As TMZ previously reported … Stephens signed a $125,000 settlement with Clash, but has since expressed regret over signing the deal which required him to recant his claim.

That's good because the kids should know the truth behind that voice of Elmo. I won't be buying any elmo products ever for my daughter and I wouldn't suggest any other parents to buy elmo products either. Never support the voice of a child molester!
