ROCKAWAY BREEZY POINT: ERASED

At least 70 homes have been destroyed in the Breezy Point section of the Rockaway peninsula in Queens, home to many of New York’ Top Cops, City Officials and Politicians.

Last night, as I monitored FDNY radio transmissions, I overheard countless frustrated firefighters frantically describing being completely unable to arrive on scene due to flood waters that effectively erased roads and bridges…

Many hook and ladder trucks became disabled, overcome by the water, also leaving early responders themselves stranded and calling for help. In the meantime, the fire moved quickly and deliberately, taking out all in its path.

It was officially dubbed a six-alarmer. Shockingly, early indications are the loss of life was minimal. I will update you on that asap.
