A Delaware couple is under arrest after it was discovered they used “waterboarding” as a form of discipling their 11-year-old daughter.
Authorities say, Melvin Morse, 58, and his wife Pauline, 40, were using a form of punishment, classified as “torture” banned in the United States.
The couple is charged with four felony counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
In an interview, the girl said her dad would regularly discipline her, calling it “waterboarding.” Beginning in 2009, she said, Morse would hold her face under running water causing it to dam up her nose and mouth. This banned procedure produces the sensation of drowning.
The girl’s mother is said to have monitored many of the waterboarding sessions and never intervened…
