Really? Can someone get that stoned to the point where they would actually change their name?
Snoop Dogg can! He got so high on some Jamaican weed, that he not only changed his name, but also totally changed the genre of music he creates!
Although Snoop never accredits the good Jamaican bud for influencing his major decision to change his name, we’re guessing his spiritual experience would never be complete without it! We all know every morning for Snoop consists of a serious wake n’ bake.
Snoop Dogg spoke at a news conference in New York yesterday, and told reporters that during his visit to Jamaica in February, he was “reborn,” and is “connected with Bob Marley’s spirit and is now Bob Marley reincarnated.” Bob Marley’s son Rohan attended the conference and gave Snoop his blessing.
Snoop is so reborn, he even says he’s ready to make music that his “kids and grandparents can listen to.”
Snoop says he is releasing a reggae album called “Reincarnated” in the Fall.
“I feel like I’ve always been Rastafarian,” Snoop said. When Snoop was on the trip, he visited a temple, and was renamed “Snoop Lion” and was also given the Ethiopian name “Berhane,” meaning “light of the world.”
Do you guys think Snoop is for real, or is this just a publicity stunt for his new album? Thoughts below!
