The psychology you go through when you see a viral video:
Have you ever seen a horrible video on YouTube that has over 1 Million views? If so, the first thing you said to yourself was, ‘how did this crappy video get so many views?!’. Then, maybe you share the crappy video and you even tell yourself that ‘it’s actually a good video’, even if you keep calling it ‘that stupid video’. WHY are you somehow ‘into’ this video? Would you ever share it or watch it again if it didn’t have over a Million hits? Probably not…

You’re not the only one who is going through these motions after seeing a crappy, yet popular viral YouTube video, everyone out there in Internetland is scratching their head too, but then following in line with the ‘trend’ like zombies. You don’t know why you want to be involved in this trending video, whether you’re commenting or sharing it, you’re just following the herd.

Now, I’m going to tell you how you are being duped.
There is a small handful of dedicated videomakers and one-hit-wonder uploaders, who actually have Millions of ‘legit’ hits/views, and then, there’s a segment of YouTube videos you see that have over a Million hits, and you wonder WHY!?

2 words- “View Bots”. You can buy your hits/views! Videomakers have been buying hits from View Bot dealers for years now! With a few hundred dollars to over a thousand dollars, you can buy your way into popularity. The more money you spend for the view bots, the more hits you can get. I am not going to name names, but I have seen videomakers kickstart their YouTube careers from buying view bots in the beginning, to gain interest from viewers. Viewers think that ‘it must be amazing if the hits are so big, so I’ll subscribe AND come back again to this channel’- and that thought process you have, is the whole point of buying view bots. Creating an illusion that the video is popular, can actually make the video, or make you really popular. You’re hypnotized, magnetized and drawn in like a flesh-hungry zombie, all because of a large hit count number. Ta-da!

View Bots could ‘make’ or ‘break’ you, and I’m not kidding:
Most videomakers who have bought these ‘illegal’ view bots, have gotten away with it, but some who haven’t gotten away with using view bots, have mysteriously disappeared from their old channel, or their channel disappeared altogether. The view bots can only be ‘illegal’, if the videomaker who bought the view bots has a “YouTube Partnership” or a “revenue share” deal with YouTube/Google.

YouTube and other alike sites can only do so much to stop the view bots from giving videomakers Millions of hits. I see people using view bots right now on YouTube. Like I said, it can make you popular fast, but you’ll be gone from YouTube quick, and they are not forgiving.
