Yesterday in Washington D.C., Planned Parenthood supporters came out to the National Mall, and rallied against the looming provision to defund Planned Parenthood.
Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) spoke at the event, and vowed that the provision to defund Planned Parenthood is never going to pass the Senate. The decision to cut off P.P.’s funds, did in fact pass the House earlier this year, but Schumer says, “The dangerous, ideological cuts to Planned Parenthood that passed the House are never, never, never going to pass the Senate.”
This rally, “Stand Up for Women’s Health”, was sponsored by the National Organization for Women, NARAL and Planned Parenthood.
