I guess he could say he left pants unbuttoned and a horse fly flew in and he was swatting and desperately trying to kill it and caused him to lose control of his buggy? Would you not lose control of your buggy if a horse fly flew into your pants where the zipper should be to the crotch? I would use that excuse and the elders of the village may all agree that horse fly in crotch is one buzzzing experience? :D
