Hawaii Census worker Russell Hass, was arrested on Big Island back in March for trespassing while trying to do his job, and he is now heading to federal court.
The home owner told Haas to leave his fenced property, but he refused and the homeowner who happened to be a county police officer-called his co-workers at the Hawaii County Police Dept.-and had the intrusive Census worker arrested!

This is just one recent example of disputes that made the big news this year, between Census workers protected by federal law, and residents who don’t want to deal with them.
Yeah, these Census workers might as well be robots. You’ve got to be crazy to step on someone’s property without notice, and then start questioning the resident! Dangerous.
