Michael Jackson Murdered for Worthy Music Catalogue?

Michael Jackson’s former advisor Leonard Rowe (no relation to Debbie Rowe), came out in the news to say something that has been haunting him about Michael Jackson’s mysterious death. Michael had confided to Rowe that Michael’s purchase of this certain music catalogue may be the death of the human Michael Jackson.

Rowe says that Michael had told him, “They want my catalogue Rowe — and they will kill me for it.”

“When he was speaking about it, I paid him no attention but as the latest events have unfolded, I couldn’t help but think about his statement — and it still haunts me today.” Rowe told RadarOnline.com.

Why would someone want to kill Michael over a music catalogue? Well, after glancing at the worth of the music, I can see why his sister Latoya Jacksonalways says Michael’s death is a “conspiracy”. She knows the record companies were after Michael, and they are still after the Michael Jackson brand. The killers figured Michael was worth more dead than alive. They wanted his music, memorabilia and money, and they had to get Michael out of the way to get it all.

THE WORTH
In 1985, Michael paid $47.5 million to buy the legendary publishing catalogue from ATV Music, which included 250 Beatles songs. Ten years later, Sonypaid Jackson $150 million for half the rights, forming a joint venture called Sony/ATV. Today, Jackson’s half is valued at a minimum of $1 billion.

“Michael’s catalogue was very valuable… and people wanted that catalogue. It is one thing that Michael told me, personally, that he would never sell it. Michael said he wanted to keep it for his children, no matter what type of financial situation he across, he would always hold onto his catalogue. People wanted that catalogue, but he would not relinquish it, at all.” Rowe said.

Following Jackson’s death, the administrators of his estate signed a $250 million deal giving Sony full access to the singer’s back catalog and previously unreleased material. The estate still has its share in the catalogue.

The Michael Jackson brand is now being sold in new places like Walmart, and MJ’s music is being played on commercials like “Halloween Costumes at Party City”. If you are a Michael fan, you know that alive Michael would have never allowed his music or memorabilia to wind up where it is now. Now that his music and memorabilia is in the wrong people’s hands, you just may see it being sold at somewhere like Kmart.

You can learn more about Rowe’s conspiracy theory about Michael’s death and other tid bits of Michael’s life in Rowe’s new book: “What Really Happened to Michael Jackson”, coming out on the anniversary of his death June 25.
