Legend Ronnie James Dio Dies

One of the best singers of the rock era passed away today.  Ronnie James Dio was 67.  Dio sang for Black Sabbath after Ozzy and later left Sabbath starting his own band “Dio”.

His wife and manager, Wendy Dio said on their website “Today my heart is broken … Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever.”

Dio announced last year he had stomach cancer and he was being cared for at a Houston hospital.

Rock on in heaven buddy, you will be missed a great deal.
