Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay has been confirmed as one of the new cast members of Dancing with the Stars. DeLay was the House Majority Leader from 2003 to 2005. He resigned in 2006 for allegedly breaking campaign-finance laws. Throughout his career, the Republican was referred to as “The Hammer” because of his ability to…well, I guess hammer bills into laws? Whatever the reason, he was loathed by the opposition party.
I don’t get it. I guess DeLay is a celebrity (and alleged felon) but he doesn’t seem the dancing type. Also, he doesn’t even seem like the type to watchDancing with the Stars. I guess ABC knows something I don’t. Maybe Tom can really cut a rug.
