Gene Simmons: Adam Lambert “should shut up”

Gene Simmons was interviewed on a bunch of different Fox News affiliates today and was gracious enough to give his opinion on American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert.He attempted to be complimentary to the young star but, of course, ended up sounding like a jerk.  I’ll let his words do the talking:

Adam should have won. On the other hand he should have kept his mouth shut about his sexual preferences. I don’t really care what he wants to do and neither does America. But this kid’s got talent, Adam Lambert can go on. As long as he’s quiet about whatever else he prefers to do indoors. I personally don’t care, I mean if you love farm animals, that’s fine, but I don’t wanna read a magazine about that.

Ah, how sweet of Mr. Simmons.  Because being gay is just like, you know, having sex with animals.  Gene, as we all remember, has bragged about sleeping with thousands of women and has created a career based around his sexual appeal.  He has countless songs about what he does “indoors”.  Yet, Adam Lambert speaking about his sexuality is too much for Dr. Love to handle?  Gimme a break.
