In what may be the greatest news story of the week, John Stamos has recently stated that he is interested in creating a feature film adaptation of Full House, the cheesy, family-friendly, awesome show that catapulted him and many others (the Olsens included) to fame. The film, however, would have a twist.
“I’m working on a movie idea, but it wouldn’t be us playing us,” Stamos said. In fact, Stamos’ film, which would be something like a prequel, would have recent stars like Steve Carell, James Franco and Tracy Morgan. I know, weird, right?
I can’t tell if this is a joke or not but a Full House movie would be amazing. I used to watch that show religiously and I know I’m not alone. Unfortunately, even Stamos doesn’t expect the film to be made for awhile. “I don’t see it happening anytime soon,” he said. Hey, at least we can dream.
