You would think these guys could be BFF, however, after Clay Aiken ranted on his blog about Adam Lambert’s “Ring of fire” performance on the American Idol program a friendship is out of the question.  As we reported here on ThecounT.com, Clay pulled no punches when expressing his feelings on Mr. Lambert using colorful words like, “Awful,” “contrived,” and “frightening.”

Now Clay wants to make nice by saying he’s sorry for his “colorful choice of words.”  Clay, who shares American Idol runner-up status with Lambert also said, “I obviously meant it as a colorful statement to imply that I did not enjoy what I heard, I did not mean it as a ‘slam’ on Adam as a person.”  Anyone who reads what Clay wrote knows, that’s exactly what he meant and that’s why Clay said he’s sorry and that he hopes Adam can forgive him.  Maybe Clay should send Adam flowers.
