MEMPHIS, TN. (THECOUNT) — The woman tragically killed in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning has been identified by family members as Markita McGhee.
McGhee, a mother of four, was operating a vehicle around 3 a.m. in the 2000 block of South Parkway East in Memphis, when she exited the roadway for an unknown reason and rolled over multiple times.
McGhee became trapped inside the vehicle following the crash.
She was later pronounced dead on the scene.
The family identified the driver to WREG’s Melissa Moon as Markita McGhee. They said the mother of four was driving down the street when a truck ran a stop sign. She swerved to miss the vehicle and lost control. Continue reading
HAZMAT teams are on the scene of a double-fatal hazardous material situation at the Motel 6, located on Blackstone in North Fresno, after employees reported finding two people dead in a room.
Fresno police say that hotel housekeeping entered a room and observed the victims deceased in a bathroom. They were then overwhelmed chemical fumes, later identified to be sulfuric acid.
The employees then fled the room and contacted 911. Continue reading
Three adults, described as an adult male and two adult females, have been found deceased in a Delray Beach Florida home.
Delray Beach Police Department Homicide Detectives arrived on the scene of what they are investigating as a double murder-suicide involving three adults.

An aerial acrobat fell during a Tampa Under the Big Top performance of Cirque du Soleil‘s “Volta” Saturday night leaving audience members stunned and prompting organizers to cancel the remainder of that show as well as ALL remaining shows at the venue.
The dancer, who has not been identified, reportedly was on one of the ribbon straps when something went wrong and they catapulted onto the stage. Cirque du Soleil has not released any information on the extent of the employee’s injuries.
Cirque du Soleil released the following uninformative statement about the accident:
“Yesterday night, March 17th, one of the aerial straps artists of VOLTA by Cirque du Soleil fell during his performance on stage in Tampa,” according to spokesman Jose Boza. “The artist was immediately carried out of stage to receive assistance. In order for the VOLTA team to focus on the health of the artist, the rest of the show was cancelled.” Continue reading
Houston man Elmer Quintanilla has been named as the Texas father charged with murder and DWI Monday after causing a crash that left one man dead Sunday, the Harris County sheriff’s office said.
Deputies were called just after 1 p.m. to the northbound feeder of West Road and Beltway 8 to a report of Quintanilla, 26, driving a pickup truck erratically with his wife and three young children, ages 1, 5 and 6 years old.
Quintanilla was traveling at a high rate of speed in a 2013 GMC Sierra pickup truck when he tried to exit the West Road Toll Plaza, instead losing control and rear-ending a late model Acura. Continue reading
