Mischa Barton
Let me start by saying that Mischa Barton isn’t fat. Even in these photos taken just a few days ago, Mischa is heavier than we’ve ever seen her but she’s not morbidly obese or anything. For a girl that’s always been too skinny, there’s nothing wrong with having some meat on the bones.
That being said, you’ve got to wonder what was going on with Ms. Barton. What caused the sudden weight gain? Also, it’s not the weight that is so alarming from these photos. To me, it’s the look in her eyes. Mischa Barton, pictured above at a hotel just days before she was taken into a involuntary psychiatric hold by police, looks tired and really sad. Honestly, she looks dead tired.

Lohan
Lindsay Lohan has been ordered by the producers of her new film, The Other Side, to gain weight for her role. I don’t know what’s bigger news: the fact that she’s finally going to look healthy or the fact that she got cast in a movie.
Aside from the weight gain, Lohan will have to undergo random drug tests as well. That should be interesting.
According to IMDB, The Other Side is about “an over-achieving science scholar [who] tries to solve a bizarre mystery involving the residents of a remote island and ultimately discovers something she could have never predicted“. Wow, that’s heavy. I’m assuming that Lindsay Lohan plays the lead in the film, which also stars Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews and Alanis Morissette. No, I’m not making that cast up.
It’s been awhile since Lohan was in a successful film so let’s hope this thing works. Also, it would be amazing to see her on screen opposite Dave Matthews. It would be like some crazy drug-induced dream.

Jessica Simpson is really having some great luck these days. First, her brilliant film “Employee Of The Month” fails to win an academy award, Nick Lachey is still with that hooker chick Vanessa, her weight gain even had Russell Simmons laughing-(-oops I mean Richard Simmons)…. her controlling father never leaves..and to top it all off, Ashlee has a baby before she does. Granted I’m not too sure what to call Pete Wentz (muppet comes to mind) so I would say Jessica is doing better with the whole football player angle.
As if things could not get any worse, Jessica is now dropped from her label. I’m going to bet a million dollars her father will put her on his own label. Jury is still out on the name for the label. I’ve thought of a few:

Kelly did a great show on American Idol last night. I was reluctant to post this right away (beating out any other site at the time) because Kelly is awesome and people gain and lose weight for various reasons, myself included.
She sang wonderful but it is kinda strange because she was looking really thin in her video and then appears almost pregnant last night. TMZ has a great photo of her. She says she’s not in a relationship and very far removed from anything domestic so I doubt it.
