VA Man Namel “Da Prince” Augustine ID’d As Victim Found Dead On Chesapeake Sidewalk

CHESAPEAKE, VA. (THECOUNT) — Namel Prince Augustine, of Chesapeake, VA, has been identified as the victim found dead on a Great Bridge Boulevard sidewalk Friday.

Augustine, 25, was found dead on a sidewalk suffering from at least one gunshot wound in Chesapeake Friday night, police said.

Authorities confirmed that the man killed was 25-year-old Namel “DA Prince” Augustine

Around 10:29 p.m., Chesapeake police responded to a report of gunshots in the 800 block of Great Bridge Boulevard. Arriving officers found a dead man on the sidewalk with apparent gunshot wounds, police said. Continue reading

VA Woman Killed Sunday In Richmond Hit-And-Run Identified As Selena Galvan

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Selena Galvan has been identified as the victim struck and killed in a Sunday morning hit-and-run in Richmond.

Galvan, 30, was struck by a in the vehicle while walking in the 7500 block of Marbrett Drive, in Richmond, Chesterfield County, VA, sometime around 3:20 a.m. The driver fled the scene and is currently being sought by authorities.

Police believe Galvan was walking in the roadway at the time of the fatal crash.

Galvan was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the collision. Continue reading

WV Victims Found Shot Dead In North Charleston Home Identified

CHARLESTON, WV. (THECOUNT) — Jenni Chesney, 47, and Kenneth Campbell, 50, have been identified as the two bodies have located shot in a home in North Charleston, VA.

According to dispatchers, they were found in the basement of a home located on the 3900 block of West Washington Street.

The Charleston Police Department say they are conducting a double homicide investigation.

Charleston Police say the victims are Jenni Chesney, 47, and Kenneth Campbell, 50, and the lived together at the home. Continue reading

VA Man Alberto Zaldivar Columbie ID’d As Victim Struck Killed By Bedford Train Friday

BEDFORD COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT)Alberto Zaldivar Columbie, of Daleville, VA, has been identified as the victim killed after being struck by a train while parked on the tracks in Big Island.

Columbie, 39, was attempting to move a semi-truck off the tracks in Bedford County on Friday when an oncoming train struck him and the vehicle.

A tractor-trailer improperly parked on railroad tracks on Georgia Pacific plant property in Big Island as a train approached about 7:30 p.m. Friday, police said. The semi-truck stalled on the tracks during a delivery to the Georgia Pacific mill, according to previous reports.

The driver was killed while attempting to move the truck off the tracks when it was struck by the train, according to a news release from state police.

He was then trapped under the truck after it was struck on the passenger side, the news release said Continue reading

Norbert “Dee Jay” Laury ID’d As VA Man Found Shot Dead Saturday Night On Mansion Ave

RICHMOND, VA. (THECOUNT) — Norbert “Dee Jay” Laury, has been identified as the man found shot on Richmond’s Southside Saturday night.

Laury, 30, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound the 2000 block of Mansion Avenue just after 9:10 p.m.

Police were called to Mansion Avenue on reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, a male victim was located with obvious signs of trauma to the torso.

VA Couple ID’d As Victims In Double-Fatal Page County Head-On Motorcycle Crash

FREDERICK COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Randall Hensley, a Frederick County Sheriff’s deputy, and his wife Missy, have been identified as the couple killed in Sunday evening motorcycle crash.

Hensley and his wife Missy were traveling on a Harley Davidson motorcycle Sunday evening on Route 340 in Page County, when they collided head-on with a pickup truck, reported a Virginia State Police spokesperson.

UPDATE: Joshua Federico CAUGHT After Spotted Near Midlothian Publix (PHOTO)

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Joshua M. Federico, the VA estranged husband who is wanted for the murder of his wife and her new boyfriend in Chesterfield, has been apprehended, according to officials.

No officers or the suspect were injured.

(ORIGINAL STORY) Police said murder suspect Federico was spotted in the Deer Run neighborhood in Chesterfield County around 1:15 p.m. Sunday.

Officials released a photo of Federico after walked into the Publix Super Market at Harbour Pointe Shopping Center, Hull Street Road, Midlothian, VA.

He was last seen wearing dark pants and no shirt.

VA Man Found Shot Dead In Richmond Sunday Identified As Leon Chandler

RICHMOND, VA. (THECOUNT) — Leon M. Chandler II, of Meadowbridge Road, Richmond, VA, was identified by authorities as the man killed in an early-morning homicide on Richmond’s Northside.

Richmond Police say officers responded Sunday to calls of shots fired in the 3500 block of Meadowbridge Road in the Providence Park neighborhood at 12:15 a.m.

Upon arrival, officers located Chandler, 24, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

DANVILLE, VA. (THECOUNT) — Patrick Andreaus Gunn, of Danville, has been identified by Danville police as the man killed Friday night on Paxton Street, Danville, VA.

“Pat” Gunn, 21, was found suffering from gunshot wounds after police arrived to 700 block of Paxton Street in Danville on Friday evening on calls of shots fired.

Identified: VA Man Dead After Accidentally Shooting Self In Leg In Richmond Thursday

RICHMOND, VA. (THECOUNT) — Daniel Alexander, of Richmond, VA., has been identified as the man killed after accidentally shooting himself in the leg, according to an initial Chesterfield Police investigation.

Alexander, 29, was identified by Chesterfield Police as the man who died at the hospital following an accidental shooting in the 5600 block of Handel Court, in Richmond, at about 10:15 p.m. Thursday.

“When police arrived, they found 29-year-old Daniel Alexander suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Daniel was transported to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries,” a Chesterfield Police spokesperson said. “The initial investigation indicates that his death was a result of an accidental self-inflicted gunshot.
