Director Apatow Refused to Cut 1/2 Hour of “Funny People” Staring Wife

vlcsnap 596354 Director Apatow Refused to Cut 1/2 Hour of “Funny People” Staring Wife

Even though Universal Executives were on their hands and knees begging director, Judd Apatow to shorten the aguishly long “Funny People” it fell on deaf ears.

At a running time of over 2 hours and 25 minutes, the Comedy-Drama “Funny People” starring a cold running Adam Sandler, may have been saved a very soft box office opening by trimming off some of the fat, however Apatow sternly refused.

Word on the street is Universal deplored Apatow to cut the final half hour of the flick, in an effort to make the movie more digestible to theater audiences. Maybe it is just a coincidence that the final half hour stars Apatow’s wife, Leslie Mann.

Well Universal may not have a hit movie on their hands but at least Apatow will be sleeping in his own bed and not on the couch.

Wale Ft. Lady Gaga Chillin Song-M.I.A. Rip

New fun summer song “Chillin”, by Wale ft. Lady Gaga, is sounding a bit like an MIA track. This is just my own opinion, but I’ve been following artist MIA since early 2000, and this Wale/Lady Gaga song is very much like MIA’s original one-of-a kind style.

MIA’s chart topping song “Paper Planes” made radio soon after big film “Pineapple Express” was released in theaters. Yes, it has taken MIA almost 10 years to hit mainstream radio! Anyway, if you listen to her latest record, that will show you just how similar the style of “Chillin” is to MIA’s flavor. It’s really more of Lady Gaga that sounds like she’s ripping of MIA’s style. I love you Gaga, but it’s true. Wonder if this song was originally written to ft. MIA?

Here’s the Wale ft. Lady Gaga first. Below this will be MIA’s Paper Planes song. Listen to the similarities if you care:

    Chris Brown Strikes Again, Literally

    Chris Brown and his shiner

Chris Brown will be facing another judge in an assault case but this time it’s a grown man he is accused of assaulting.

The attack took place at a LA area gym where Chris Brown and his entourage were playing a harmless game of basketball, harmless that is until a photog snapped a picture of Brown.

The LA Times is reporting, pap, Robert Rosen snapped a photo of Brown doing his best Kobe imitation and that’s when Brown’s bodyguards began to verbally abuse him, Rosen then attempted to flee the scene to avoid drama, however, tripped and fell, allowing Brown’s henchmen to catch up with him where they then proceeded to rough him up. Rosen claims he was, “severely injured and disabled, both internally and externally, and suffered extreme emotional distress.” The incident occurred only a few weeks after Brown was accused of beating, then girlfriend, Rihanna.

Browns lawyer, Mark Geragos, is stating, “This is a specious and frivolous lawsuit by one of the paparazzi seeking publicity and a payday, he’s done this before and lost.” And in fact that is true, Rosen brought similar claims against 007 actor, Pierce Brosnan in 2007.  Rosen claimed Brosnan inflicted “severe physical and emotional pain and injuries.” Rosen lost that case reported TMZ.
