TN Man Charles Shelton ID’d As Victim Found Shot Dead On Cash Hollow Road Wednesday Night

WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Charles Shelton, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday night Washington County shooting.

“Rooster” Shelton, 31, was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound Wednesday night in a shooting that occurred at 415 Cash Hollow Road, in Johnson City, Washington County, TN.

Deputies responded to an “altercation between parties just before 9 p.m. Wednesday and discovered Shelton’s body on an adjacent property.

Shelton was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.

The sheriff’s office says charges are pending – but did not elaborate.

The shooting remains under investigation and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is assisting, according to WJHL.

TN Man Kevin Daniel ID’d As Victim Shot Dead Christmas Day In Chattanooga Suspect Arrested

CHATTANOOGA, TN. (THECOUNT) — Kevin Daniel has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday shooting in Chattanooga, TN, according to reports. Gregory S. Martin was arrested and charged with Criminal Homicide in the Christmas Day shooting death.

Daniel, 20, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds after 3 p.m. on Wimberly Drive, in Chattanooga on Tuesday.

Daniel was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

Chattanooga Police provided no further information on the case.

TN Woman Ellen L. Hudson ID’d As Victim In Friday Fatal Ooltewah Crash

OOLTEWAH, TN. (THECOUNT) — Ellen L. Hudson of Ooltewah, has been identified as the victim in a fatal crash in Ooltewah, TN, Friday evening.

The crash occurred around 5:45 pm in the 6900 block of Snow Hill Rd, Ooltewah, TN Friday evening, according to a crash report.

Hudson, whose age was not provided, was operating a Honda CRV, when for unknown reasons, crossed centerlines, exited the roadway and entered a ditch. Her vehicle then traveled back onto the roadway, spun around and traveled into the opposite lane of traffic striking a Chrysler Pacifica.

Hudson was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force injuries consistent with the collision.

The driver of the Chrysler Pacifica was not seriously injured in the crash.

“The driver of the Honda CRV was found to be unresponsive and was transported to a local medical facility where they were later pronounced deceased,” Matt Lea, with the HCSO, said. Continue reading

TN Couple James Tiffany Barnes ID’d As Victims In Sunday Smyrna Murder-Suicide

SMYRNA, TN. (THECOUNT) — James T. Barnes has been identified as the shooter in an apparent murder-suicide inside a Smyrna, Tennessee, home Sunday.

Barnes, 43, shot and killed his wife, Tiffany Barnes, 32, before turning the gun on himself, according to Smyrna Police.

Police responded to the Wisdom Way residence on a call of shots fired stemming from a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male and female suffering from gunshot wounds on the floor of a bedroom.

Four children were located uninjured inside the home, located on Wisdom Way, in Smyrna.

All four of the Barnes’ underage children were at home at the time of the murder-suicide. Non were physically harmed and the kids are now staying with family. Continue reading

TN Teen Morgan Goldman ID’d As Victim In Wednesday Calhoun Triple-Fatal Crash

MCMINN, TN. (THECOUNT) — Morgan Goldman has been named as one of three victims killed in a two-vehicle crash in McMinn County Wednesday afternoon.

Goldman, 18, as well as a five year old, and one and a half year old were killed in the crash that occurred shortly after 3:15 pm. on Old Highway 11 in Calhoun.

Three people were killed and another person injured in a two car crash in McMinn County Wednesday.

TN Man Found Dead In Bristol Rotary Park Monday Identified As Christopher Stout

BRISTOL, TN. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Steven Stout has been identified as the man found dead in Rotary Park in Bristol, Tennessee, Monday.

Chris Stout, 49, was found dead in Rotary Park, located on Ash Street in Bristol on Monday.

Police said they responded to a call Monday around 8:47 a.m. of a man down in the park.

Upon arrival, Stout was found dead.

No cause of death has been released as authorities are awaiting the results of an autopsy.

TN Chuckey-Doak HS Student Jacob McAmis Who Assaulted Afton Principal Commits Suicide After Fleeing Police Monday

GREENE COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Jacob McAmis, the Chuckey-Doak High School student who was accused of assaulting the school’s principal and fleeing from police in Afton, TN, committed suicide Monday, according to authorities.

Officials were alerted to a student who was reportedly in possession of drugs and a gun around 11 a.m. Monday. Authorities said 18-year-old “Jake” McAmis assaulted the school‘s principal when confronted and left the school in his vehicle. A pursuit ensued but was stopped, according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 12:20 p.m., a second attempt to apprehend McAmis was made but he was able to evade apprehension again. At 4:44 p.m., police said McAmis may have been involved in the setting of a structure fire on Old Cemetery Road. That led to a third pursuit around 5:12 p.m. Authorities said McAmis led officers on a chase on Asheville Highway toward North Carolina. The pursuit ended near 10520 Asheville Highway when McAmis committed suicide, according to police. Continue reading

TN Victim In Fatal Nashville Tuesday I-40 Single-Vehicle Crash Identified As Mark Bilbrey

NASHVILLE, TN. (THECOUNT) — Mark Bilbrey has been identified as the victim killed in a single-vehicle crash near Interstate 40 in west Nashville early Tuesday morning.

Bilbrey, 39, was operating a 2005 Subaru Forester, when for unknown reasons, exited the roadway, causing the vehicle to roll over and collide with a culvert and a concrete support columns of the I-40 overpass while traveling on Hapwood Dr, near Davidson Dr, in Nashville, TN, Tuesday.

Bilbrey was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries suffered in the violent collision.

A crash report noted that the victim was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the fatal incident.

Police said drugs nor alcohol played a factor in the crash.

Authorities say the crash occurred just after midnight on Davidson Drive near Hapwood Drive, likely during heavy rain. According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the driver left the right side of the road, collided with a culvert and then hit one of the concrete support columns for the I-40 overpass. TN Teen Josh Daniel ID’d As Victim In Fatal Thursday Single-Vehicle Mt. Juliet Crash

MT. JULIET, TN. (THECOUNT) — Joshua Daniel has been identified as the teen killed in an early morning crash in Mt. Juliet, TN.

Daniel, 18, was traveling on Central Pike Thursday morning, when for unknown reasons, exited the road and struck several trees around 2:20 a.m.

TN Police 1 Dead In Active Sunday Shooting Incident Near Navy Lodge Millington

MILLINGTON, TN. – One person is dead, and another injured after a shooting near the Navy Lodge in Millington early Sunday morning.

Investigators say the shooter is in custody with Millington Police.

According to the Naval Public Affairs Office, officers got reports of an active shooter at a recreational lodging area near the base around 3 a.m.
