EXCLUSIVE: Interview with Star Trek Cast Member Clifton Collins Jr.

We caught up with Star Trek cast member Clifton Collins Jr. at the Star Trek movie premiere in Las Vegas’ Brenden Theater’s IMAX, inside The Palms Hotel and Casino.
Clifton was there taking pictures and signing exclusive Star Trek posters for his fans. You may know Clifton from numerous TV and film projects such as Babel, The Shield, Crank: High Voltage, Alias, ER or Capote. Clifton even has 4 films in ‘post’ and 2 ‘completed’. Clifton is the 4th generation of entertainers in his family. His grandfather ‘Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez’ has a Hollywood Star next to John Wayne, who he co-starred with in several western films. Clifton has his very own Vegas Hollywood Star in the Brenden Theater lobby inside of The Palms.
We got to spend some quality time getting to know the amazing Clifton, and what it was like working on the new Star Trek movie. We even got a little tid bit about what it was like working with ‘Crank: High Voltage’ actor Jason Statham.

Which character do you play? “I play ‘Ayel‘, who works for the badass ‘Nero‘, played by Eric Bana.”

Scott Weiland with STP: Their Last Show

We are so blessed that we got to see Scott Weiland join up with his original band, Stone Temple Pilots. They gave their last show (“For a very long time” stated bassist, Robert DeLeo) their ALL!! It went off at the Pearl concert venue at The Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The show was so amazing. Click here to see the review about this last STP show. Here is some video of the band:

Front Row @ The Last Stone Temple Pilots Concert

OH BOY! THE SMOKE HAS FINALLY CLEARED. THE BRAIN FOG HAS DISSIPATED. WHAT A HOLIDAY IT HAS BEEN. WE WERE IN VEGAS UNTIL YESTERDAY ACTUALLY. WOW. SIN CITY IT IS. WE TOPPED OFF OUR VACATION BY ATTENDING AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE FROM STONE TEMPLE PILOTS AT THE PALMS PEARL CONCERT HALL IN LAS VEGAS.

One of our all time favorite bands, Stone Temple Pilots, put on their last show in Vegas. We were there to experience it up front and in the middle.

No messing around for Scott Weiland. No half ass or careless performing. ONLY the BEST this time around. About a month ago, we gave a bad review of Scott’s solo performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. We thought, “Oh no, not the drugs again!” We were worried that our man Scott was falling to pieces again. We wondered why his former band Velvet Revolver was done playing. Then we heard he was getting back with his original band STP; but turned out wishy washy. Mr. Weiland’s Jimmy Kimmel solo performance debuting his solo record, “Happy in Galoshes”, was an out-of-tune nightmare. At this point, we were thinking about getting back on the drugs! J/K!
