Former TN Southern Care Group Home Customer “Mom Died 3 Days After Arriving”

Whitley Jade Gilbert, the owner Southern Care Group Home in Morristown, TN., has been arrested and charged after allowing nine elderly residents to live without heat for several days amid sub-freezing temperatures.

TheCount.com has learned, this is not the first time Gilbert’s facility has been accused of questionable practises. In may, 2017, a former customer lodged a shocking complaint with the BBB, claiming a family member died three days after being placed in their care.

BBB complaint;

“Paid $700 up front for the month. Mom was there for 3 days,” the unnamed complainant commented. “Dropped mom off oct 31 2017 and she died Nov 3 2017. Was given no refund or proration.” Continue reading
