It’s Official: Kara DioGuardi Back To American Idol Paula Waits

No More Idol?

While Paula Abdul waits by the phone on word if she will return to American Idol, Kara DioGuardi, can sleep tight knowing she’ll be back on America’s #1 TV show.

Abdul has been there since the beginning, however, Abdul’s relationship seemed strained over the last few seasons with Idol brass, then came the hiring of a 4th, female, judge for season 8, that may have been the beginning of the end.

Many thought the hiring of DioGuardi, was a way for producers to cross fade from Abdul to DioGuardi, and now that seems to be the case as season 9 quickly approaches and still no contract for Abdul.

“(Kara) is a breath of fresh air, and her passion for music and her understanding of talent is invaluable,” “American Idol” creator Simon Fuller said in a statement. It will also be a way for AI to save a heap of money, as the rehiring of Abdul meant a makeover of her contract and certainly millions more for Abdul.

It was confirmed Thursday night that the singer songwriter responsible for Beyonce’s infectious 2008 song of the year ”Single Ladies” and Rihanna’s “Umbrella” has asked actress/singer Christina Milian to be his wife. Christina has been spotted with a giant rock (diamond ring) on her finger for a few weeks now but The Dream finally confirmed the speculation to S2S at a Keyshia Cole featuring The Dream concert in Washington D.C. Congratulations to the happy couple, perhaps as a wedding present he’ll write her 2009’s song of the year.
