CA Active-Navy ‘Good Samaritan’ Shot Dead In San Diego Saturday After Pulling Over To Help “Stranded” I-15 Motorist

SAN DIEGO, CA. (THECOUNT) — Curtis Adams, of San Diego, California, has been identified as the man shot and killed after he pulled over to help what he thought was a stranded motorist early Saturday morning on Interstate 15.

Adams, 21, an active-duty Navy service member, was immediately shot after pulling over to help what he thought was a stranded motorist on the southbound shoulder of I-15 at the northbound Interstate 5 ramp, said police.

Officers were dispatched after the victim’s girlfriend, who was with him at the time of the shooting, called 911 to report Adams had been shot.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered a Black male suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his upper body.

The victim was transported to UC San Diego Medical Center where he later passed away from injuries consistent with the incident.

The suspect, described as a Hispanic male, fled the scene but was captured a short time later. He is being questioned by homicide detectives.

The San Diego Police Department received a call around 2:20 a.m. about a shooting that occurred at The caller stated her boyfriend was shot, said San Diego Police Lt. Anthony Dupree. Family: TX Man Involved In Saturday Alice Highway 44 Crash Dies In Hospital

SAN DIEGO, CA. (THECOUNT) — Family of 32-year-old Isaac Castillo confirmed he passed away at a local hospital Sunday due to injuries he sustained in a vehicle accident.

Department of Public Safety is investigating the single-vehicle accident that occurred east of San Diego on TX-44 and Co. Rd. 160 in Alice, TX, Saturday afternoon.

Fans Concerned After Willie Nelson Abruptly Leaves Stage, Cancels Remaining Tour Dates

Willie Nelson fans attending his San Diego concert this weekend became concerned after the singer abruptly ended his show during the first song.

Nelson took the stage singing “Whiskey River,” but almost immediately began violenting coughing. The “On The Road Again” singer appeared to be experiencing breathing difficulties before he was whisked off stage by security.

According to concert attendants, say 84-year-old Nelson exited the stage in the midst of concert opener – and did not return.

Nelson’s publicist told the paper that the icon has either “a bad cold or the flu” and would be returning to Texas to recover.

The representative also confirmed that Nelson would be canceling the remainder of his shows scheduled for January. He was slated to perform in Palm Springs, Las Vegas, and Laughlin, Nevada.

An email explaining the cancellations from Ticketmaster says in part that “[u]nfortunately, due to illness, Willie Nelson’s performance concluded early.” Continue reading

Military Jet Crashes Into California Residential Area

A military plane crashed into a neighborhood in Imperial County, Ca., near the Arizona border on Wednesday afternoon.

The pilot ejected before the crash, according to the tweet, no word on his current condition.


The crash occurred at Cross Road and Fonzie Avenue in Imperial Valley, California Highway Patrol officials.
