I feel pretty bad for Jessica Simpson here. Her poor dog, Daisy, was taken by a coyote Monday night. The singer is now desperately calling on friends and fans to help her find the missing pooch.
Simpson made the following post on Twitter Monday night: “My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!”
The following morning, Simpson posted the flyer above near her house. She is presumably still looking for Daisy, who may be anywhere in the hills of L.A.
I’ve got to say, things aren’t looking too good for little Daisy. Dogs rarely come back after being snatched by coyotes. I mean, you can’t really reason with a coyote and if they’re hungry… But maybe, just maybe, the wild animal is raising Daisy as its own, living off the fat of the land up in the hills above Los Angeles. Sure it’s unlikely but it’s possible. Right?

Ms. Gosselin and the new look
What do you all think of Kate Gosselin’s new haircut? She debuted it today while guest-hosting The View and doesn’t she seemed pleased as punch about it. I know that many, many, many, many (many, many, many) people are happy to see her old look go. I think she looks happy and bright here but maybe a little too Elisabeth Hasselbeck for her own good. Careful, Kate, the last thing you want is to mimic her.

Not to make light of an obviously awful situation, reality star and Twitter freak Tila Tequila was apparently choked and restrained by football player Shawen Merriman. This made me first wonder why she is hanging out with a man in the first place.
Merriman, an outside linebacker for the Sand Diego Chargers, was arrested Sunday after Tequila spent some time at his home. Merriman was released after a few hours behind bars.
The footballer says he was simply trying to keep the Tequila from leaving his residence because she was so toasted and he did not want her to drive, however, Tequila says nothing could be farther from the truth stating she was, “stone cold sober.”
Tila Tequila, 27, has pinned 2 felonies on Merriman, so the seriousness of this situation speaks for itself and if there is any truth to his side of the story, then maybe Merriman should have just let her leave.

"Grandma watch out!"
By the way, I think this is the only photo I’ll ever use of Jon Gosselin. It’s just perfect. Sorry Jon.
Mild drama this weekend as an ambulance was called to the Gosselin house out in Pennsylvania. Did Jon and Kate Gosselin get into a violent screaming match? No, nothing that explosive. Jon’s grandmother had a fall and EMTs were brought to the house to take care of her. Kind of anticlimactic, isn’t it?
Granny Gosselin was taken to a hospital. Reports say she’s now fine and resting comfortably.
Thank God for Twitter, where Jon gave us this update: “Just to clear up any faulty reports: my grandmother did in fact fall in my driveway but she’ll [be] fine. Thank you for all of the concerned calls.”
Wait, people were actually calling the house? Like, total strangers were calling? Weird.
The rest of the weekend seemed uneventful for the Gosselins. Jon spent “Family Day” with the kids and played outside in the pool.

"I LOVE TWEETING!"
Jon Gosselin, the happy father of eight, has joined the Twitter revolution. His username is @jongosselin1 and, since his account is new, he mostly tweets about going to Vegas. Expect future tweets about his children and nagging ex-wife. Maybe we’ll get a lot of sadface emoticons if the divorce doesn’t go well.
His latest tweet: “On the plane, can’t wait to see the kids!!! The sugar factory goodies are on the way, they’ll flip when they see it all.”
We now have literally 24 hour access to the life of Jon Gosselin. Big fight with Kate? We’ll hear about it through Twitter. Leaving the TLC show for greener pastures? We’ll see his tweet before the news breaks. This is a win-win for celebrity gossip fans. Now we never have to be without Jon Gosselin’s pearls of wisdom.
In other Jon Gosselin news, Radar Online is reporting that Jon’s gal pal Hailey Glassman didn’t accompany Jon on his trip to Vegas. It’s not a sign of relationship troubles but rather a promise Jon made to take his mother. Aww.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, the lovable leaders of 18 children on TLC’s 18 Kids and Counting, are expecting this 19th child. Ninteenth! Have they run out of names that start with “J” yet?
“We are so thrilled,” Michelle told People Magazine. “We just couldn’t believe it is happening.”
Really, you can’t believe it? After 18th children you are still amazed by the act of childbirth? Me, I’d be completely bored with it by now. “Oh, another kid? Great, now I have to wait nine months before I can drink again…”
No word from TLC if they plan on changing the title of the show. It’ll surely be good ratings to see the family grow by one more. Let’s start submitting our names for the baby now. I suggest Jolie or Jabberjaw or Jonas…

Jon Gosselin, happy TV star
Jon Gosselin is slamming reports that say he wants off Jon & Kate Plus 8. The reality TV star says the sources are mis-informed.
Speaking to People Magazine, Jon said: “I never said that. A fan asked me, ‘Don’t you sometimes wish you could go back to a 9-to-5 job?’ [And my reply was,] ‘Yeah, because this is 24/7 and 9-to-5ers punch in and punch out and you have no responsibilities.’ “
“Here,” he continued, “You have to watch what you say so it doesn’t contradict something else.”
He later went on to explain that, even in his own house, he’s constantly being photographed and watched. He also said that the kids, though sometimes annoyed at the filming, don’t want it to end yet.
Everyone deserves a break now and again but I still really think that Jon is angling to get off the show sooner rather than later. At the same time, can you blame him? The guy’s life is a circus. Maybe he can quit by pushing the boundaries of what TLC can take. He can just waltz into his living room naked or only talk in rhyme for days on end. Then the fed-up network would get pissed and cancel the show! Gosh, I’m a genius.

Octomom Attacks!
These two just really hate each other. Octomom Nadya Suleman recently insulted Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Kate Gosselin on her latest special Octomom: The Incredible Unseen Footage. I’m telling you, these two just need to unleash their hordes of children in an all-out war. That would be epic.
Looking at a magazine filled with photos of Kate, Suleman slammed the reality star for her post-birth tummy tucks. “She’s doing it to get people to take pictures of her… I feel like it’s cheating [to get a tummy-tuck]. It’s her choice. If she has enough money to fix herself, let her. I have a better shape, though. I’m sorry, no offense to her.” Yeah, how could she be offended by that?
Suleman later went on to say that she wasn’t as attention seeking as Gosselin. Of course, because she’s only had one television special as opposed to an entire series.

Dr. Drew
Personally, I think Brad Pitt is a pretty good dad. He seems to have everything under control over in Camp Pitt/Jolie. But TV’s Dr. Drew has some concerns and is letting them known.
His concerns:
Brad Pitt’s admitted use of pot in the past: “Was it a chronic problem? I don’t know. But to the extent that he had to quit because he felt it was interfering with his parenting abilities is bothersome.”
Brad Pitt’s admittance of using drugs to his children: “Parents tell their son/daughter that they did drugs, and then they warn them about the hazards of drugs. But in the child’s adolescent mind, it’s hypocrisy. Their parents did it, and they are ok.”
Brad and Angelina’s constant uprooting of the family: “Multiple moves are very destructive for kids. I can’t say it’s necessarily going to harm them. They never develop any stable relationships with their peers. It’s very traumatic on many levels.”

Hailey Glassman, Jon Gosselin's new girl
Though we’ve seen her holding hands and smoking cigarettes with Jon Gosselin in France, Hailey Glassman is still pretty mysterious to us. Slowly but surely, her past is coming to life. Radaronline.com has a mugshot and glimpse into Glassman’s criminal past. And while she isn’t a murderer, she’s had a couple run-ins with Johnny Law.
2005: Glassman is arrested at Indiana University for possession of marijuana. She was outside smoking with some of her friends when a cop spotted them and arrested her. Her case was settled out of court.
2007: Glassman was back in court for illegal consumption of alcohol. I’m not sure how that went down but it was also thrown out. So she hasn’t served time or anything but she still seems to find herself getting into legal trouble every couple years. We’ll see if 2009 brings her anything new?
See, this totally plays into my prediction that Jon is trying to change his image from wholesome television dad. He’s attempting to make himself into a tougher, harder person. Dating a girl with a arrest record, smoking cigarettes in public. He just needs some hardcore tattoos and he’s on his way!
